Replicate

Replicate lets you run and fine-tune ML models using simple code no infrastructure needed. Pay only for what you use.

Overview

Replicate is for anyone who wants to work with machine learning models without wrestling with infrastructure. You pick a model or upload your own, then run it or tweak it using their API. No server setup no complicated pipelines, just code and results. Replicate’s powered by Cog which helps wrap your model into something that runs anywhere. That’s what makes the whole thing click.

What Can You Do With It?

Replicate covers a lot of ground. You can:

  • Run pre-trained models. Think image generation voice cloning even translating audio to text.
  • Plug models into your apps. Just call the API and go.
  • Fine-tune stuff. Got your own dataset? You can train and deploy models right on Replicate’s platform.

Models like Stable Diffusion and Whisper are just a couple you’ll find there. But there's a ton more.

Pricing That Makes Sense

You pay as you go. Literally by the second.

Some examples:

  • CPU: $0.0001/sec
  • Nvidia T4: $0.000225/sec
  • A100 (80GB): $0.0014/sec

And you can set a budget cap so things don’t get out of hand.

Folks on GitHub and X seem to like it. The open-source crowd uses it to get things live without the tech mess. If you’re a dev you’ll probably get what all the buzz is about.
