Qwen-Image-Edit is the image editing version of Qwen-Image, released by Alibaba in August 2025.
It brings over the same text rendering tech and now lets you edit both content and visuals in images.
It sends your input image through two routes - one for meaning, one for looks. That way it can change whole scenes or tweak small parts while preserving the rest of the scene intact.
Key features
Dual editing modes. You can make big changes like rotating objects or changing styles, or smaller ones like adding or removing stuff. Accurate bilingual text edits. It lets you add, delete, or fix Chinese and English text while keeping the font, size, and style. Strong benchmark scores. It scored high on public tests and shows it's built for serious editing tasks.
Other things it can do
View shifts. Turn an object 90 or 180 degrees to see it from other angles. Style changes. Take a photo and turn it into something that looks like Studio Ghibli. Small tweaks. Add a signboard and it’ll even reflect the lighting right. Remove tiny things like loose hair. Text edits. Change the color of one letter or fix a small typo in English or Chinese, even in posters. Scene changes. Swap out a background or change someone’s outfit without messing up the rest.
