Decart.ai popped up in 2023 and they’re going full speed at building AI models that work in real time. Think live video that changes as you watch it, interactive 3D scenes you can jump into and wild effects for filters AR or games.

They raised $100 million and yep folks like Sequoia and Zeev Ventures are backing them. Dean Leitersdorf is one of the names behind it.

So what are they building?

Their main tools include:

Mirage. A video-to-video model that changes live video while it runs. Think livestream effects filters or AR content that reacts right away.

Oasis. An open-world 3D model that builds full interactive scenes. This one feels gaming-esqe maybe even metaverse-ish.

Sidekick. Talk to your video in real time. It’s voice conversation meets visual change.

Lucy Edit. This one’s the showstopper. You take a video type a prompt and it changes clothes adds things or swaps people. Like turn someone into an alien or slap a logo on their hoodie. Motion and faces stay locked while the world changes around them.

They’ve also got tools like Lucy 5B and Lucy 14B which are larger models for image-to-video work or more fine edits.
