Lucy Edit Dev is the open-weight version of Decart's model for text-based video edits. It’s free for anyone to try on Hugging Face or with ComfyUI nodes, but you can’t use it for commercial projects.
With it you can switch clothes, add accessories or hairstyles, turn characters into animals, aliens or heroes, and toss in scene tweaks. Just use plain text. It tries to keep motion, faces and identity steady even with big changes.
This one’s meant for testing and messing around. It doesn’t match the Pro version’s sharpness but it lets more people try out the tech. If you want cleaner edits, there's a paid Pro model.
