Overview

Beatoven.ai is an AI music tool made for content creators. It builds custom background music and sound effects without needing any music skills. You give it a prompt - could be text, mood, or a video - and it makes a track up to 2.5 minutes long. You can tweak it too. Change the instruments, shift the mood or genre, and download either the full mix or just stems.

Tracks come from a model trained on over 3 million licensed songs and 1 million sound effects. They say the data’s all cleared for fair use. The company behind it, Beatoven Private Limited, started around 2021. The CEO is Mansoor Rahimat Khan. They work with rights groups so musicians still get paid.

You can use it for stuff like YouTube videos, podcasts, short films, games or anything that needs custom sound without copyright issues. You also get a license to use the music in your projects, but you can’t resell it or drop it on streaming platforms like Spotify.

There’s a free trial with some limits. You get a few test runs with two models but can’t download anything.

It’s all online. No software to install or GPU needed. They have an API but don’t offer a version you can run on your own.
