Overview

Instead of dragging clips on a timeline Mosaic gives you a blank canvas. You drop in blocks called “agents” that handle stuff like trimming captioning resizing and more. You wire them together once and the AI handles the rest. Want to trim clips post to YouTube and TikTok and slap on captions while you're eating lunch? Done. Now in public beta.

Mosaic’s made by Adish Jain and Kyle Wade who worked on machine learning at Tesla and AWS. They got backed by Y Combinator in Winter 2025.

Most editing is grunt work. Reformatting for vertical stories, squaring clips, adding subtitles, picking stock, B-roll. Mosaic turns all that into tasks for its agents. You build a custom setup using drag-and-drop blocks then run it anytime. Even better you can hook it up to your Google Drive, Dropbox or YouTube so it kicks off edits when new stuff shows up.

You can also connect social accounts and tell Mosaic to auto-post with the right formatting and captions for each site.

Mosaic taps into tools like Google Veo and Kling to cook up short AI-made clips up to about 64 seconds. And it tries to keep characters consistent. So if you’re building a branded series your characters won’t morph into random blobs halfway through.

You can also use it to generate B-roll or drop in effects like zoom color fix and blur. The asset library is searchable by meaning so typing “sunset” gets you clips of sunsets no tagging needed.

Built with devs and automation fans in mind

Want to build this into your own site or tool? You can. Mosaic has an API and sends status updates via webhooks. It plugs into Zapier and n8n too. You can also branch your setup so it makes multiple versions like different aspect ratios languages or ad tests.

The idea is to let agents take care of 80 to 90 percent of the work. You still step in at the end to make sure it feels right. Think of it like a self-driving car that still asks you to parallel park.
