InfiniteYou
AI tool by ByteDance that creates high-quality, identity-preserved images using text descriptions. Freeware available on GitHub.
Overview
InfiniteYou (InfU) is an AI tool from ByteDance designed for making high-quality images that keep the original identity intact. It works by using text descriptions to create or edit photos. Unlike most tools out there, it relies on Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) with a special setup called InfuseNet to boost identity similarity and accuracy between text descriptions and generated images. It's a plug-and-play system that works well with various existing models making it a powerful tool for personalized image generation.
InfiniteYou's magic happens through InfuseNet—a smart architecture that injects identity features into the base model using residual connections. This keeps the model’s ability to generate realistic images intact while focusing on preserving the original identity. And unlike older methods that mess with attention layers InfiniteYou keeps things clean and improves quality without compromising the core model.
The tool uses a multi-step training method that includes pretraining and supervised fine-tuning (SFT) with synthetic single-person-multiple-sample (SPMS) data. This setup helps the model get better at making sure text descriptions and generated images actually match up while keeping your identity sharp.
Features You’ll Love
- Identity-Preserved Image Generation. Produces high-quality images that retain the user's identity.
- Diverse Identities. Works across different age groups, appearances, and scenarios (can make subject look younger or older etc).
- Easy Integration. Compatible with other tools for more advanced editing or video-to-video uses.
Downsides - hungry for VRAM. Unless quantized version are released, this tech will be out of reach to run locally for most users.

Here's what Reddit users are saying so far about InfiniteYou from ByteDance:
What Users Love
- Great Image Quality. People are generally happy with the overall quality of images InfiniteYou pumps out. It’s especially good at keeping your identity intact while creating cool new photos.
- Better Text Matching. Compared to older tools like PuLID-FLUX, InfiniteYou is better at sticking to what the prompt actually asks for.
- Easy Integration. Folks appreciate how it works with various plugins and external modules like LoRAs making it super flexible.
What’s Bugging People
- “Flux Face” Issue. A lot of users are annoyed by what they call the “Flux look”—weird chin and facial structures that pop up often. They think it's caused by high CFG scales and not using LoRAs.
- Feature Accuracy Problems. Hair color, length, and eye color often come out wrong even when the prompts are detailed.
- Tattoo & Scar Trouble. When it comes to complex tattoos or scars the model struggles to get them right and there’s debate about whether LoRAs can actually manage those details.
- Hardware Limitations. Running the model needs serious VRAM power (up to 72 GB) which puts it out of reach for most casual users.
- Demo Issues. The HuggingFace demo has its own set of problems—bugs and long waiting times seem to be common complaints.
