Pull Out (Dolly Out)

A Pull Out is when the camera physically moves backward away from the subject, increasing the visible environment. In AI videos, it creates a sense of withdrawal, isolation, or revelation, especially when paired with wide shots or dramatic backdrops.

Subject: shrinks in size, stays centered or fixed in frame position Background: expands, more environment revealed, perspective shifts

Not to be confused with zooming out, which changes scale without changing perspective. Pull Out physically shifts the viewpoint. With Zoom Out, subject shrinks without perspective shift; flat-feeling.
